Stephen,
Someone posted this method a while back, and it works for me...
Remove the cover over the front (drive) sprocket (3 bolts, I think). The front sprocket is narrowere than the rear. Lay a long straight-edge (I use a metal yardstick) across the rear sprocket and extending all the way to the front edge of the front sprocket. Making sure it is touching both sides of the rear sprocket (and thus defining a parallel line to the rear sprocket) measure the distance from the edge of the ruler to the front sprocket, both where it crossses the trailing edge, and at the front edge. If both measurements are the same, then your rear wheel is straight. Adjust wheels acoordingly, and not difference in marks on both side of the swingarm for future reference.
If it is still making alot of noise, your belt might be too tight. The guage Suzuki provides is a little on the snug side. Try jacking up the rear of the bike, and spining the back tire while in nuetral. If it stops quickly, loosen the belt tension, just to where it "freewheels" in nuetral.
